Hello all! There is so much news to share, and I'm saving the best for last, so be sure to read it all!
December Yarn Lover's Club Bundle
...comes to you from Hinterland Farm's Hanahlie, in Vancouver Island, Canada. She has set aside a limited number of skeins for this bundle, so be sure to order soon! Hanahlie takes great care in raising her alpacas and producing fibers that promote her communities fiber farms and fiber mills. Her story is wonderful to listen to and I, for one, can't wait to get my hand on her yarn! This is a part of the fall quarterly pack, so if you've already registered for that, you'll be receiving this one the first week of November. Small Business Saturday!
Last year, The Shoppes on Fatherland joined together to celebrate Small Business Saturday and we're doing it again! Come down to the Fatherland District for a holiday celebration of independent businesses on November 28th. Over 15 small businesses are cozily nested together here, and you can work your way around to all of them, hopefully marking all your Christmas or Hanukkah needs off your list! There will be door prizes, refreshments and more! For all the details on this event, check out our Fa-La-La-Fatherland event page.
And Last but Absolutely Not Least...
I have been holding this secret in for as long as possible and now, FINALLY, can share this with you all! For the past 6 months I have been working hard to develop something new for the store. I am thrilled to finally be ready and able to announce to you Nutmeg Fibers, an exclusive line of yarn only available at Nutmeg. All Nutmeg Fibers are hand-dyed with natural dyes in small batches. They are available in three weights: Hearth, Homestead and Cabin. Hearth is a worsted weight, 100% merino that is springy, lovely and will bloom over time. Homestead is a light-as-air, single-ply, worsted weight merino. Lastly, Cabin is a bulky-weight, 100% merino that is super cozy and springy. This is such an exciting new step for me as a shop owner and I'm so happy that I can finally share it with you all! See more about Nutmeg Fibers here!
That's about it for November! I want to give a big thank you to Jill Hindman of The Objectory for helping me translate my logo into this amazing new icon for Nutmeg Fibers!
