We Now use 100% Natural Dyes on all our fibers!

So much exciting news to share with you all. First off, it's October! Finally, fall has truly arrived. I have lots of info to share, so I'll just dive right in!

First off, now that fall is here, the store returns to it's regular store hours! Hooray! That means we are now open again on Tuesdays. Just to refresh, here are our regular store hours:

Tues-Thurs: 11am-5pm
Fri & Sat:11am-6pm
Sun & Mon: Closed

Secondly, we have a lot of wonderful workshop opportunities coming up this fall. Make sure to register soon cause they fill up quickly. Some to make a special note of include our 1st embroidery workshop, taught by Angel Funk, and our 2nd weaving workshop taught by Allison of Shutters & Shuttles. There is also just one spot left in our November workshop with Jen Beeman of Grainline Studio, so make sure to snag that spot if you've been on the fence. It's going to be great fun!

Next, don't forget to check in with us regularly both at the store and online. Now that my amazing friend Nicole is here to help me, thanks to our Kiva Loan, we are working hard to increase our website presence, and offer more things to those of you that might not live right nearby. We also are getting in new fabrics and yarns weekly, and just received a lovely shipment of roving from North Carolina for all you spinners or felters out there. We are constantly growing and changing, so stop by and see what new things we have in store for you!

On that note, also remember that our limited supply of Brooklyn Tweed yarn is quickly dwindling. It's beautiful and lovely, and perfectly lofty. If you've been meaning to come in and see it in person in Nashville, now is your chance!

Now that summer is over, Nutmeg's Stitch Nite has returned! We are now gathering to knit at Ugly Mugs in East Nashville on every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month to work, chat and have some coffee and treats. I'm really pleased with our move to a coffee shop, cause that means that even if there's an emergency and I can't make it, all of you lovely stitchers can get together there still!

Last, definitely not least, is the announcement of November's Yarn Lovers Club bundle! I am thrilled to be able to offer you a selection of lovingly hand-dyed yarns from myself!!! If you've been following my instagram feed at all, you might've seen that I've been working on dyeing a lot this fall. I have found a new obsession! I've been learning, re-learning, testing and re-testing and found that I've become mesmerized by the transformation process of a raw fiber to something with a beautiful color. Autumn has so many wonderful natural dye resources, so this month's yarn bundle will feature some of Tennessee's most readily available fall dye options on a truly lovely base of single-ply merino wool. For all the details this and to register, visit our Yarn Lover's Club page. Remember that if you registered for the fall quarterly membership you will automatically receive this bundle! Also, registration is now open for the winter quarter! Enroll now!

Well, that's about it for now. I'm off to Chicago this weekend for a trip with my kiddos and my parents. Expect lots of pictures of the Windy City. Can't wait to wear my Sassenach cowl for the first time!
